Lapa is a good option if you aren’t really interested in night life or if you would like to discover more than just the centre of Lisbon, although it’s not far from the centre of the city if you want a sedate homebase with good access.
To get to Lapa from the centre of Lisbon you can either take a bus (numbers 40 or 60) or a tram (number 25) which you can find at Praca do comercio.
