Parque Natural de La Albufera – Playa de Pinedo. – 46012 – PINEDO (Valencia) ESPAÑA
The beauty of the Camping Coll Vert is that it is ASCI campsite (eg the most you will pay is €16 for two adults, a camper, a doggy and electricity and that a bus stops at its gate to take you to Valencia.
The downside of Camping Coll Vert is that it’s noisy (think dogs barking constantly, traffic noise and work men around the site), and that it is located beneath electricity pylons. Now I’m a big fan of electricity pylons – I always think they have a certain beauty – like manmade trees, but I’m not a fan of having my brain fried.
The facilities are pretty good and the showers are hot enough. If you have a doggy to walk there is a rather bleak beach about five minutes walk away. It’s fine for dog walking and you probably won’t stand to be arrested if walking your furry companion between April and October, like on so many other ‘public’ beaches in Spain.
To summise, Camping Coll Vert is neither the best nor the worse campsite we’ve ever been to. Thumbs and paws up for the bus service into gorgeous old Valencia and for having a nearby dog walking area. Thumbs down for the noise and lack of beauty.
