Castelo dos Mouros came under Portuguese control in 1143 as part of King Afonso Henriques’ reconquest of Lisbon. It was originally built by the Moors and has undergone a few facelifts during its many centuries. Today is offers visitors a chance to savour its rich history and enjoy incredible panoramas across the Lisbon coast.
