Platero Suarez Corner
Gaia Vegana is both a lovely organic and vegan supermarket that you can go into using your own legs, circumambulating the aisles of ecological products, vegetarian friendly items, organic foods and snacks – if you are in Valencia. Or you can purchase all of the above from their online shop using your fingers.
They also offer natural therapies such as massage, reiki, shiatsu, tui na and reflexology. Along with facial treatments. Not online though of course. That’s foolish futuristic talk. And I don’t want a cyberman turning up at my house brandishing a bottle of grapeseed oil neither.
The website is in Spanish but you can easily find your way around even if you don’t speak or understand written Spanish. Use the navigation buttons on the left hand side for azucars y siropes (sugars and sweeteners); cajas de regalo (gift boxes); celiacos (products for celiacs); cereals y desayano (cereals and breakfast); infusions y hierbas (teas and herbs); legumbres y semillas (legumes and seeds); pastas y arroces (pasta and rice); supplementos y dietica (supplements and dietary products).
To have items sent within Spain, for a consignment weighing less than 15 kilos, the postage and package cost is €15. Above that, you must contact them to check the delivery costs. Above 250 kilos and the postage is free. That package must be the size of a car.
Payment is accepted by Paypal or by bank transfer. Strangely, they don’t seem to accept credit or debit cards, but I guess Paypal covers it.
