One of our favourite haunts in Barcelona is La Clandestina, a magical little tea shop which serves a massive variety of teas from all around the world, all of which you can enjoy at the well placed tables or on one of their many comfortable sofas.
Located in one of Barcelona’s oldest areas, Barrio Gótico, La Clandestina is the perfect place to relax with friends, sit down with a good book or even write your own thanks to its gently buzzing atmosphere, perfectly balanced lighting and Moroccan style décor.
They offer free wi-fi which is a boon for the traveller as well as a tidy selection of tapas and cakes. The staff are very accommodating too and will make special teas for awkward customers like me.
I can happily while away many hours blanketed by the mellow ambience of La Clandestina as I work my way through a big write, sampling Indian, African and China teas. Their prices are very reasonable and the surroundings – both inside and out – are exquisite.
For me, La Clandestina is one of those places that has to go on the to-do list whenever I visit Barcelona and you can find them at:
Baixada de Viladecols, 2
