Pl. Traginers 8
Nearest Metro: Barceloneta

Placa dels Traginers is one of the loveliest squares in the whole of bloody beautiful Barcelona and is home to a few little unassuming cafes and restaurants such as La Luna de Jupiter.
Inside La Luna de Jupiter tiny tables encased in kitschy fabric and mismatched little easy chairs and cute sofas fight for space and will make you feel like you’ve wandered drunkenly into a bohemian’s living room. A small wooden staircase takes you upstairs to a second level.
Alternatively, you can enjoy the square on one of a few outdoor tables and chairs and soak up the balmy weather amidst the buzz of chattering locals betwixt looming gothic buildings and beautiful trees.
The food here is standard tapas and Mediterranean food and a couple of salads and crepes, so it’s not the kind of place you’d head to for a three-course vegetarian or vegan meal but the quality of what you get, is really good.
Tapas-wise you can choose from olives (aceitunas), patatas bravas (fried potatoes with spicy sauce), fried green peppers and a couple of other dishes.
If you like a lovely ambiance then this is a good place to head to to absorb some of that Barcelonian atmosphere and to enjoy a big cup of herbal tea and maybe a tapa or two.
The service is friendly and competent and the atmosphere both indoors and out is unbeatable and very typical of the amazing city that is Barcelona.
Get yourself a big cup of tea and watch relaxed people and lovely dogs as they pass by.
It’s Sweep friendly due to the external terrace, so it gets a paws up.
