Unlike New York City where it’s easy to find vegan cakes in most cafés, it’s something of a rarity in Spain – even in cosmopolitan Barcelona.
Lujuria Vegana means vegan lust and is a bakery and delicatessen that also supplies beautiful cakes to places like Gopal and Vegania and other locations across Barcelona (see below), so that libidinous vegans can get a sweet fix without having to sully their inny bits with eggs or dairy.
They produce cupcakes, brownies, cookies, mousses and several types of full-size cake such as the Excelsior – a massively indulgent chocolate cake that consists of praline, chocolate mousse and chocolate frosting and a tasty carrot cake made with fresh carrot and spices and covered in cream cheese frosting.
Cupcakes come in either blueberry, cookies and cream, mango and amaretto or strawberry and white chocolate.
A stunning collection of beautiful sweet creations made entirely without cruelty to anything my a master chef.
