Mary’s Market – Eixample, Barcelona
c/Valencia 266 (Bulevard Rosa)
Another addition to the upmarket food hall in Barcelona is Mary’s Market in Eixample (a 10 minute walk from Placa Catalunya).
This is a beautifully stocked spacing selling all manner of delectable foods and things such as chocolates for connoisseurs, a billion types of artisan-produced cheeses, ice creams, fine wines and beers, conserves, fruits and vegetables and gifts for food lover in you life, even if that happens to be you..
Mary’s Market also a takeaway section where you can buy many juices and salads.
In the café area there are gorgeous plump croissants, dusty ensaimadas, rich brownies and some right perky-looking magdalenes, along with smooth coffees and a range of highest quality teas and infusions.
Mary’s Market is a very visual place and a must-see if you are into high quality food and ingredients and it’s proximity to Placa Catalunya makes it an easy little detour perhaps before heading on up to see some of Gaudi’s tiresomely brilliant creations on P de Gracia.
