The Mirador de San Nicolas is probably more striking and breathtaking than the Alahambra itself – with all its pricey tourism, tannoy announcements and vending machines.
Start at the bottom right of the Albacin, near the square and follow the signs. It is fairly steep in places but there are cafes and restaurants at the top, and the walk should only take you ten minutes or so. Unless you are with my mom, in which case it could take you hours.
