Mirador de San Nicolas – Granada

View of the Alhambra in Granada

The Mirador de San Nicolas is probably more striking and breathtaking than the Alahambra itself – with all its pricey tourism, tannoy announcements and vending machines.

Like a scene from 'The Omen' (the original version)

Start at the bottom right of the Albacin, near the square and follow the signs. It is fairly steep in places but there are cafes and restaurants at the top, and the walk should only take you ten minutes or so. Unless you are with my mom, in which case  it could take you hours.

Twas a moody sky in Granada on that day.

Stormy skies above the Alhambra in Granada

Grumpy skies above the Alhambra.

Another grumpy sky

The Alhambra - still grumpy.
