Praça do Commercio sits on the northern bank of the river in Lisbon and is a gateway to the commercial centre and Baixa zones. It is a grand piece of work with pillared buildings painted sun yellow placed about a square which is home to a very detailed statue of a horseman and mount. It is one of the most popular stops for visitors arriving by bus or taxi and gives easy access to the many attractions dotted about the Portuguese capital.
