Opposite the Del Mar restaurant
Av. Afonso de Albuquerque, Quinta de St. António
2825-450 – Costa de Caparica
If gluten doesn’t send you into a coma and you’re not a total health nut, then you might want to stop in at San Antonio Panaderia on Av. Afonso de Albuquerque for a quick sugary cake fix.
The place is buzzing with locals and so hopefully, that has some indication of the quality of the produce. They sell croissants, sandwiches and all kinds of traditional and locally produced cakes all exhibited in a large glass cabinet, to make choosing even more difficult and traumatic.
Once you’ve made your selection at San Antonio panaderia, you can opt to stay or go. If you stay, there is a large open terrace where you can enjoy the sunshine or cower from the sun in the shade.
This is basic food but the quality is favourable and it is a good opportunity to sample Portuguese pastries.
