The Cares Gorge in Pictures – Gallery #3

The sun was a constant source of difficulty on our hike through the Cares Gorge but I wouldn't have traded it for anything else.

The haze of the day softened the ragged peaks and cast a laziness over the Picos de Europa.

A view of the second bridge en route to Cain.

This must be a sign...

One the way to Cain the path seemed never ending. Gladly that wasn't the case.

These grey walls are home to a countless variety of wildlife, fauna and insects.

Nearing Cain we encountered one of the sub-stations on the Rio Cares and the entrance to the tunnel.

This is as close as I like to get to big electrical things.

Looking back through the Cares Gorge; the vistas never fail to amaze.
