The Prayer Gardens at Sakya Tashi Ling Temple, Olivella

The prayer gardens were the highlight of my afternoon at the Sakya Tashi Ling temple in Plana, Olivella.  I must have spent an hour soaking up the tiny details and almost psychedelic quirks but it felt like minutes. The whole day was like an acid trip of the good kind.

This unusual shrine occupied the centre of the prayer gardens.

The prayer banners brought an extra dimension to the vibrancy of the already illuminating surroundings.

You could spend weeks reading all these prayers. If you're fluent in Sanskrit.

The centre piece of the garden is a shrine with twisting blocks. I still don't understand the relevance of the blocks.

The temple as seen from the prayer gardens.

I don't know what it is so don't ask.

Quirkier still, the eyes above the statue of a god. Bizarre.
