An Alternative Guide to travelling in Spain and Portugal on a Small Budget
Views around Llavorsi, Pyrenees, Catalunya
Posted on by
Llavorsi sits beside a busy river deep in the Catalunyan Pyrenees. It’s a beautiful little town which is criminally overlooked by snobby tourists who find its power station to be an eye sore. Perhaps that’s a good thing; tourism is a destructive business as a trip to any town along the Costa Brava will prove.
The peak at the back of Llavorsi doesn't look too impressive from this angle but from the ground it's a sheer, impenetrable wall of rock and fauna.
By day the clear blue skies create a beautiful promontory against which the mountains stand like timeless sentinels; each with a million stories to share.
And as the sun retreats...
... We witness the beauty that daylight masks with its vivid brightness.
