Where: Car park at Castell de Castelldefels
How to find it: Head to Castelldefels along the C-32 and exit at Junction 46. Head onto Avinguda del Canal Olimpico and follow it north west. Turn left onto Avinguda de la Consticucio then immediately right onto Carrer de Juan de la Cierva then take the 2nd exit at the round-about onto Carrer d’Antonio Machado then follow signs to Castell de Castelldefels.
Basically this is a short stop wild camp and probably only good for one night. The car park outside the castle (which amounts to a bunch of spaces allocated along the side of a wide road) isn’t that big but it doesn’t get too busy at night which means you can take advantage of its free parking.
There are plenty of shops nearby as well as bars, restaurants, etc which are handy for toilets and the pathways around the castle provide two fonts for drinking water.
I wouldn’t advise staying here too long, especially if you have a dog because it’s fairly busy during the day and the road that runs beside it is prone to visitations by manic drivers.
Sweep gave it a big paws down, but, if you’re dogless and carefree it’s a great place to stop off, grab a walk, get some provisions and enjoy a free sleep.
